Inspiration

The embroidery piece titled “Contemplative Gorilla” draws inspiration from the famous sculpture “The Thinker” by French sculptor Auguste Rodin. However, this embroidery reinterprets the classic pose into that of a gorilla deep in thought, creating a unique and innovative twist. The inspiration for this work came from a photograph taken by British amateur photographer Thasan Sakthi in Sri Lanka. In the photo, the gorilla unintentionally adopts a pose strikingly similar to Rodin’s iconic sculpture, sparking the creation of this embroidery piece.

Creation Process
